Broadcast Ministry

A Brief History

Trinity’s Broadcast Ministry started in 1986 under the leadership of Rev. Harold Tucker and Rev. Robert Hendrix. From an answered financial prayer, and a few dedicated men, two Ikegami 730 cameras were purchased, along with a Panasonic switcher and a Sony 3/4″ video tape machine.
Today, 2 new Hitachi 4-CCD cameras have been purchased as well as a Grass Valley200 switcher, a broadcast industry standard. Along with computer generated graphics, we are now capable of burning services onto DVDs. With our two new projector systems in our Sanctuary, we are able to feed live video onto the screens as well as hymn lyrics… you’ll never have to look down again. At Trinity, as technology grows, we use it to further ministry purposes.
The Trinity Hour Trinity broadcasts our morning service, or special event, 7pm every Sunday night on local cable Channel 42 (WATS). Each weekly broadcast requires over 8 dedicated volunteers using their gifts to serve the Lord, to help spread the gospel, and maintain a community of members- those unable to attend the service. Make sure you tune in every Sunday and watch The Trinity Hour, serving Waycross and the surrounding area for the past 17 years. We also Webcast our worship services that can be viewed anywhere in the World at any time. Look for the link on the home page to view. Without the vision started in 1986 and the support of the church, this ministry would not be where it is today. We are here to serve!
The Hendrix Broadcast Center opened in October,2008. This new state of the art facility incorporates a new multiviewer system by Avitech. The director, broadcast Audio, shader & Graphics are all in close proximity in the new Facility. Engineering and Webcast are in a separate room.
